Magic Air Heater

Here is an old post from last year. It is for the Ford Script heater. It may help tracking down the core your looking for.
New Heater Core found

I have added a picture of the new core next to the old core in my gallery. They are the exact same size. The new core is for a 70-74 International Scout II, 75-77 Scout II w/ AC. These are available at NAPA for about $65. I just had one of the old end tanks soldered on.

52 2C-18476-A (I know this is the same for the hot water and fresh air heater)No Sir, it isn't. 2C-18476-A is used for the Magic Air heater aka fresh air heater. 2C-18476-B is used for the recirculating heater.
The heater core looks the same on the diagrams for the 48-51 heaters.

In addition, I have the Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange (O.S.I.) manual that will update the numbers in these older catalogs. For example, the early catalogs use the basic part number of 7039 for U-joints. The late catalog will show the new U-joint number = 4635. What if you only have the early catalog? You have no way to update numbers. That's why when I went out and bought one of these books to use here at FTE, I made sure it was the latest edition...and I also snagged the O.S.I. book which updates the numbers from the date of the final edition. I used the O.S.I. catalog earlier on the oil filter question. I updated two oil filter numbers, for example.
Sir, I am very careful about listing part numbers here on FTE. I took pride in my job when I was working, and I take pride in my job now. You are a guru on these 1948/56 trucks, I'm not. I'm only the messenger, typing what I read in the books. I'd be happy to scan this page on the heater cores and email it to you.

My books are 48-51 chassis parts catalogue Feb 1951 and 52 supplement April 1952. You have the better book but several guys have found part inaccuracies in the 1964 book as some parts have been superseded several times.
Oh, on the 52 hot water heater. I have one and the only thing that is different between it and a 48-51 magic air is that the lower pipe is bent. They are in the same place.
Your doing a good job Bill, keep up the good work.
