Throwing Grease

I noticed a grease smell on my DRW 2001 F350 and took a look behind the rear wheel. I noticed grease on the rotor and brake assembly when I looked around. I need some advice on what I should expect to pay in order to get this fixed by a dealer or possibly an independent shop. I don’t have the time to do this myself or even know if I could.

Are you sure it is grease, and not a mixture of think rear axle fluid and road grime on the axle?

Grease

Smells real strong like grease and looks like it...thick and black. When I get out of the truck I can really smell it.

I guess I better check the diff fluid?

Diff Fluid

OMG! I checked the diff fluid and I have to reach down pretty far to hit it with my pinky...looks like I’m losing fluid not throwing grease. God I hope I haven’t hurt my rear end on that thing. Well now I know what the problem is anyway.
