Just Bought a 1990 F-150 4X4 XLT and the truck has very low acceleration time. The pedal could be on the floor and in would slowly accelerate. Dont know if thats they way they are built or another problem. PS The truck is an automatic.
Welcome to the forum.......Is the motor revving high and the truck moving slow?.......Is it a 6 or an 8 or a diesel?......Are you in 4-wheel or 2 wheel drive?...Is the tranny full of fluid?.......
Automatics can get old and start slipping......and can slip real bad ......meaning you floor it and the truck barely moves......low fluid can cause it too.......
Put as much info here as you can......you'll get some ideas and fixes.
Good Luck......and I hope it's just fluid
