I'm having a little trouble finding information for a V10 exhaust setup. Everything on here seems to be for V8s. I want to upgrade my exhaust for improved power and mpg, as well as sound (no glasspacks). I'm leaning towards a Flowmaster 40 and possibly taking out the cat. Is there any real difference between a true dual, dual, or single side exit setup? Also, what size pipe should i be running, in and out of the muffler? Thanks for the help.
There is a lot of discussion on V-10 exhausts in the V-10 forum which is a ways further up on the main forum page.
The V-10s sound a lot different than a V-8.
I have headers, no cats, duals with an X-pipe and 2 stock type mufflers. I've got lots of compliments on how good it sounds.
When I got the truck it had 2 turbo type mufflers on it and no X-pipe and it sounded like 2 Hondas with fartcans on them, racing. I couldn't stand it.
