Hey guys I changed my wifes transmission filter on her 05 explorer. Its a 4 door. I did'nt look before i leaped and come to find out you have to pump the fluid in this one. My question is does anyone know which line is the suck line? I'm thinking i can just use the suck line to pump the fluid in.

Insert the outer drain tube and remove the centre (smaller) plug, use a push/pull hand pump to load transmission through the centre of the fill tube until it dribbles back out.

Thanks brother for your suggestion. I got it though. What i did was get me a cap for a gearlube bottle and some tubing and on the side of the case is 2 plugs i removed the 1 that is slighly higher and gravity feed the fluid in thru the side. I have'nt figured out how to check it yet. I measured what i got out of the pan and it was right there at 5 quarts. Thats what i put back in it.

The level is correct when the fluid dribbles out the small plug that is in the centre of the drain tube. The tube acts as a dam holding the correct level in the tranny.
