Great News!!!
The Appellate court in the district of Columbia just ruled that the ban on Hand guns in DC is Unconstitutional, and Gave all of use the real and Proper meaning, word by word, of that Great 2nd Amendment!!!!
It appears that the PSD's w/ E4ODs have a different Pack than the IDI's w/ E4ODs
I do know that the older style pack has some more electrical components that the Newer one doesn't have. I believe it has 4 diodes or resister under the circuit board that the PSD'd doesn't have. I didn't look close enough to see there markings.
Solenoid assembly, E4OD, 4R100, NON-PWM, 1995-up,
I got the older one.
Solenoid assembly, E4OD, 1989-94,
I copied and pasted these descriptions from the from the Makco online catalog.
I just called three local parts stores and they all told me that I would have to go to the Stealer ship for this.
We were Unable to communicate w/ the PCM this morning also. So I went to the local dealer and asked how much? there are three listed for my truck, I need to remove and give them #'s they range fro $307 to $327. It appears that when the previous owner had the tranny replaced they installed a updated PSD version, of the E4OD. I was told at The Stealership that the PCM would work the new E4Od, It just doesn't have the PSD's side.
The #'s on the tranny's tag are,
top line , 6011-21
Middle line, R2357643
Bottom line of #'s F2TZ7V000NRM.
I now also have located the PCM, On my rig it is the purple connector under the cruise control servo next to the fender.
hell with it go buy the ats auto tranny.2ed amendment is my favorite.if they wont my guns they can have them lead first.if I'm gonna be a fellon for owning a gun then I gonna be a real fellon.
Glad to hear you might have your headache fixed. Also My dad and I both send kudos on your solenoid pack repair. Very impressive.
and to let everyone know what's up Chicago is trying to pull the same stunt DC did. We all need to actively watch the pansies in office or we'll wake up in a police state one day.
Thank you for the kind words Brimmstone, would you or PLC7.3 have the ability to post a photo of the repair?
I believe that all the wars this country ever won were won by Farm boys ,Country Kids that were used to making do with what they had a fixing it with whatever was available at the time. defenatly not by Politicians! I had the Honor of Hunting for many years with a Gentleman that served in WWII, he drove trucks over the Burma Trail. I still have found memories of him telling me how they one time repaired the fuel pump of one of the trucks every few miles with a piece of celifain over the diaphragm it was from thier cigarette packs. but they got the load there.
Today I picked up a NIB PCM for a Great deal Less than $100 40 miles from my home, and Installed it. He has 6 more of them forr reasonable price,
My headache is now over, If you are running anything but the latest PCM for our truck w/ the E4OD's you are missing the boat. I replace a 92 yr. of manufacture w/ a 94 version The latest for the IDI and WOW what a difference in the shift firmness. Not Harsh but firm and positive.
I did not readjust my FILP I am running my rebuilt Solenoid Body, with the new processor and the difference is night and day.
Thank you for all the help and encouragement you gave.
