Hi,
my transmission selector is out of adjustment on the column. Does anyone know how hard it would be to fix this or should it be taken in to be fixed? I guess I can get used to it but if it's not too hard to correct then I will try it.
If the selector needle is cable-operated, you should be able to get at it by removing the steering column covers. The cable is normally adjustable where it hooks to the shifter.
Thanks Steve, I also found it in the Haynes book. That will be my next project since I took advantage of the warm weather and replaced the shocks and repaired the stabilizer bar today. My explorer rides like new again.
