transmission vacuum modulator

transmission vacuum modulator

have a 1975 f150 360 v8 automatic can anyone tell me where the transmission modulator hose connect to under the hood in the engine compartment dont know if I have it in the place my gears arent shifting like they suppose too and after a while just doesnt shift anymore starts off good but then starting shifting crappy and more accelaration i give it doesnt go any faster.

The vacuum line goes to the vacuum tree that all the other vacuum lines go to.

Remove the line from the modulator valve. If there is any transmission fluid in it, then it is bad.

the one on my 79 hooks up to a port in the front of the manifold . when i first put the transmission in i hooked it up to the tree with the brake booster and it would not shift right.

Probably a vacuum leak in the booster or someone mis routed the PCV system. The tree is where it belongs.

Even though the engines are different, the vacuum tree position should be the same.
