Yes You can get a box from F350 up alot of them were work truck s and don't have air. I got 10 of them at work. Also alot of XL base truck don't have them. It depends on your area and dealers. They didn't start pushing air on everything till 95 or so..
I've got the functional equivalent of what you're looking for just by not servicing my AC for 14 years. haven't noticed any performance problems, just some nuckle scraping pieces parts to get in the way of other work.
Why A/C delete pulley, why not just a shorter sephentine belt? I want to do it right, so I am looking for the box... Also, non A/C in cabin controls would be great too!
I am wanting to remove it to make room in the motor bay tatetodd...
Thanks for the help, I will start looking at some F-350's
I have figured out that using a shorter belt does'nt work due to the fact that the
belt tensioner does'nt tighten down enough because of it being at the end of its
tension use so the belt remains loose.
OH? Well, I have been running a shorter belt since I pulled my compressor back when it locked up, and it's been running for about 9 months since. I guess I need to tell my truck that eh??
Maybe somthing is off on my truck cuz the tensioner does'nt create any tension
on the belt when i tried it. But thankfully my a/c pump is'nt froze up. Ya know
CALF_ROPER_JOHN if you go to LMCTRUCK.com you can get a delete pully that
will go on your truck.
Thanks... Your are right about the factory sized belt, but ANY sephentine belt with the same number of ribs will work! My belt is about 8" shorter than the factory belt so that may be the reason. :shrugs:
I am just going to pull all my a/c crap and then swap the blower motor box when I find a non a/c truck.. Since the plugs on the back of the controls are different and I aint real big on cutting factory harnesses I am going to swap the under dash harness and add the non-a/c controls when I go to do it.
