Heading off to Kelowna today to see what I can find for the wife's car. See if I can find a couple things for my truck at a different spot.

Ya it should work, it is very slow and make sure you soak with oil that way it doesn't stick back together.

I have taken a couple of windshields out of vehicles out at Buck's by myself without breaking them.I use a hood release cable, find a vehicle with the hood gone or damaged and cut the cable near the latch and pull it out from under the dash. You end up with a nice 4 or 5 foot piece of wire with a handle at one end.Remove the outside and inside moldings and using a pair of needle nose pliers remove as much sealant as you can in one spot so that you can poke the wire through there.Clip a pair of vice-grips on the loose end of the wire and saw away.Patience is necessary, don't try to force it.If you are using urethane adhesive to install it buy it from an autobody supply store as it hardens in the tube and old stuff is a pain to work with.If it is a side window which isn't structural there is a product called butyl tape which works good.

Good show idfergusson. Some really good ideas there, and I think I am going to give it a shot. I think I would get it installed by someone though, I dont know if I would try taht part of it myself.
