Hi All,
Here's my first post to this great site. I really enjoy browsing all of the topics and getting some answers to everyones questions, but I have a question I haven't seen discussed. I am looking for some nice wheels for my stock '66 F100 4x4, something vintage looking along the lines of the American Racing Torq-Thrust D or the old Cragar SS classic mag, but I am not having much luck. Most wheels are not for the 4x4 application and some that I find are too "blingy" for me. Anyone want to post some pics of what they have? Also looking for a locking chrome gas cap that will fit my year, can only find one for other years listed. Thanks !

4x4 will be tough, thanks to the big center hub. Sorry, I can't really help you. I had enough trouble finding wheels for my 4x2 that didn't look like "Fast & Furious".
I have a nice set of 16 inch Cragar SS's on mine. The spec's and pictures are in my gallery. I also think I posted on where I got them if you care to do a search of my posts. Very happy with them.
Depending on where you are, I would check with a local 4x shop, or look online, your bolt pattern is 5 on 5 1/2". I have found in my experience, that most wheels with that pattern will fit over the front hub. Check my gallery, I have the Mickey Thompson DC-1 on my 77 and Mickey T, classic II on my 66. Try 4wheelparts.com, and summitracing.com,
Maybe Ultra's Type 61 or 62 might work for you. They are tried and true designs that have been around forever and have the big center hole. With a machined and clear coat finish they are no blingy and are very easy to maintain.
I was recently in contact with a guy who had 5 stock 5-lug 16" Ford wheels AND hubcaps he was willng to sell. In my opinion, a set of stock Ford steel wheels, 16-inchers at that (more tire selection, looks waaay cooler), are the best looking on a 4x4. Anyway, I was going to put them on my '59 F100 4x4, and it turned out that the center holes WILL go over the front locking hubs. I believe the holes are 3 3/8", and my front hubs would slip thru them. You might want to measure yours before assuming a particular wheel won't fit.
Let me know if you're interested, I'll find the contact info.
Hey I would love to run a set of Cragar S/S 's but I dont think they will fit my 4x4 , right? I also wanted the TorqThrust D's but same problem, no 4x4 application.
