So we should not worry about the only planet we live on.
Because it is entirely ignorant and highly arrogant to believe anything we might do or worry about would/could have a snowball's chance of accomplishing much, if anything. We are completely insignificant to the machinations of this earth and once we understand this, we will understand our place in the universe.
We as humans have a huge impact on planetary enviroment.
Local (your front yard, the highways you use, etc.)...yes. Planetary...how do you figure? How big is your head, man? Are you ashamed that you are alive? Come on............, are you just teasing the rest of us???
Maybe people think they have so much to do with it cause they live in, and hardly ever leave, the big cities that have smog clouds over them. They never get out and enjoy the real views and the fresh air. It makes me sick. I know alot of people who'd rather live in an apartment downtown and never leave the city limits. Go take a walk people! Enjoy the nature we have before some selfless greedy developer kills the forest and puts up a new mall or a walmart.
People take exactly what they see on a daily basis as " thats how the rest of the world is or looks".
There's a report which was just released today by some of the Scientists who were a part of the research that good ol I invented the Internet Al Gore used in his bogus movie. After seeing his movie and reading his less than factual book, these particular scientists are extremely po'ed about his alarmism, and are coming out to state that he blatantly overstated the research findings they had concluded. Once again, a farce,, and about him buying more carbon tickets, I bet you aren't aware that he owns a huuuuge amount of stock in the company selling them. Imagine that.
I've said it before and I'll have to say it again I'm sure. I don't want to destroy the planet, but I find it very hard to believe that this whole global warming farce is entirely mans fault. Granted, emissions and such aren't helping the problem, but they're not the only root problem. In fact, mankinds involvement is number 9 on the list of causes.
Magnum I agree. The temps have been changing as long as we have records. Many temp changes happened before industral age began. I don't believe man is causing todays temp changes. I sure don't believe the stuff Al Gore is saying.
That's been proven false by the New Zealand Government. After Al Gore's movie was shown in New Zealand Mr Gore talked about that island that is mentioned in your article and how they were forced to move to New Zealand. The New Zealand Goverenment said that that didn't happen and if it did they want to know where they moved to in their country.
Global warming and seas rising make nice fundraisers, but you can't do much about either. Ever think they might be trying to avoid real issues they would have to take a stance on? The Earth's axis has a wobble and I hear they are starting a fund for that next. If your worried about us sinking then get a ship and start dredging the ocean and as for recycling see this Penn an Teller episode:
