personelly I would not wire that pyle with the xplod subs. Its not going to hit right and you run the chance of burning up that amp. If you don't mind me asking how much do you have to spend on an amp?
He will not burn up his amp if he does it like I said. If those Sonys are SVC 4 ohm subs and he runs them stereo with his Pyle DVC 4 ohm seriesed to 8 ohms and bridged, he will be within the rated limitations of the equipment. In another words he would not be running his amp at a steeper load then it's designed for.
does any one know if i did this right tho because that pyle isnt pushin it out like it was before. what exactly do i need to do with the dual voice coil? just run a piece of speaker wire across the back of the sub from the inner terminals to the inner terminals on the other side? And would it work better if i wired the pyle and one of the xplods in parallel and one on the xplods in parallel?? cuz i wanna get as much as i can out of that pyle
Hook it up like I said before. One one Sony sub on one channel and the other Sony sub on the other channel. Then series the Pyle sub and bridge it on the amp. Here is how you series a woofer:
so if i have both channels going to the xplods, how am i going to bridge the pyle to the amp. I have it series but i just have a piece of speaker wire going from the pyles to one of the xplod terminals right now, but im not using them until i found out exactly how to wire this, can't afford to mess anything up. So are you saying run both channels to the xplods, then double up wires at the amp to bridge the pyle??
not trying to hijack just another question for spl tec, how is he gonna run the two xplods in stereo and bridge the pyle on that same amp (its a 2ch amp?)

Thats the same thing i was just asking... im not really sure what he meant
I believe he means to run the left positive and negative to one Xplod, the right positive and negative to the other Xplod, and then the left positive to one voice coil on the pyle, ad the right negative (or whatever way your amp works bridged) to the other voice coil on the Pyle and then one wire between the two unused terminals on the pyle voice coils.
I've never heard of anyone wiring anything up like this but I suppose it would work fine as long as you have your amp set to mono sound.

Its uncommon but it can be done. You can run three subs and four speakers off of a single two channel amp if you wanted to. Infact in Audiobahn's user manuals thay show you how to hook up up to 8 speakers to a single two channel amp. In my last install I had 16 (4 sets of components) running off of a single 2 channel amp. I my new install I will have four sets of components running off of a Kicker ZX850.4.
SPL, i wired just like the diagram showed and the 15 wouldnt even turn on...
The only question i really had about that was the wire going from the one voice coil to the other... is that supposed to be just a single piece of wire???? going from one pos. to the other neg.???
EDIT: by the way, my buddy has a 550 watt 2 ch. bridgeable amp hes willing to sell to me for 40 bucks. he bought it (from meijers) for 100 new. I'm gunna hook it up to my truck and see how it sounds this week.

alright well i've rechecked the wiring about 500 times and the pyle is not working!! i even hooked it up just by it self and it wouldnt turn on. what is goin on here?!?!?!? its gettin really frustrating. haha.I have a pos. from one coil and a neg. from the other coil going to the back of the speaker wire terminal inside the box. Then I have one single piece of speaker wire going from a neg. on one side to the pos. on the other side. Is that right?? help me out please
