Test drove the new 6.4 yesterday in the King Ranch package, The truck was very nice. Except for 2 things, The power wasn't what I thought it would be and the $58000 price tag sucked too.
When you stopped did it idle at 1200rpms? :-) I've heard this from many people. I just bought a 250 CC King Ranch with LWB. It is very strong getting stronger by the tankfull. I had buddies comment on how fast and strong it felt compared to their 6.0's. "No lag at all" "On my 6.0 I have to put my foot in it to get it to move" Then I have this one (Friend of a friend) "I bought one took the thing back after a couple of weeks and got my 7.3 back! No power! Lost 2 grand in the process!" I asked my friend who knew this guy to drive mine and he was amazed at the power and response of my truck. ???? Who know's!?
Now the sticker price? I just grabbed on tight, got my x plan pin, and yelped a little when the Doctor said "your gonna feel a little pressure"

LOL! I have yet to this day to meet a car dealership that will go "here you go, here is your old truck back, too bad you didn't like the new one, sorry about that". Maybe to the tune of 10 grand out of pocket, not 2. Generally the rules are, lemon law aside, you bought it, you got it.
I am very impressed with mine. The ride is extremely nice for a 1.5 ton truck. Pulled with it for the first time today and it was really nice. Smooth, quiet, strong, excellent interior. It cost a bundle, but I like it more each time I drive it.
I got my '07 KR in November after nearly a year on contemplating whether I wanted to wait for the '08s or stick with the tenured 6.0 and aside from engine numbers, I'm not sure if I should have waited for the '08 based on the interior.
Obviously, it's too late now but aside from some minor interior design changes, they really look pretty much the same. I don't have a problem with my interior at all but just can't the decision whether the '08s are that much nicer.
