Ranger 351w Swap

I trying to research this swap and I need some help finding more info. I would like to know what the easiest year ranger would be the easiest/cheapest? From what I understand the explorer is very similar and they came with a v8, so does that mean that most of the parts could be taken off of an explorer? Like the kmember? Would that be the easiest way to go, to use an explorer for parts? My goal is to have a 351w based Ranger with a manual trans, I want to use it for track and street use. I prefer EFI and roller cam(94-up block) but Im not against the opposite, so if anyone has any usefull info or opinions please post.

If you have a 98-up Ranger, using an Explorer or Mountaineer for the swap is the way to go. Everything bolts right in. Otherwise you'll need to do the swap same as others, drill/cut the cross member to mount Mustang motor mounts, use one of three or four headers that work with the 302 swap (351 will be harder here, due to the wider engine) Move or fab a transmission cross member for the transmission. Wire the EFI harness yourself. There are two V8 Ranger sites for more info I know of where all this has been covered many times.
