Hi,a couple months ago I banged up the drivers door on my 1995 F250.I've called around and found that a door costs a little more than I was hoping for. What I was wondering was what year trucks interchange with their doors.I've got a couple junk trucks sitting around,a 1988 F250 and a 1986 F250.The doors look similar but I wasn't sure if they would fit or not.I just thought someone here would probaly know.
Any door from 1980-1996 will fit your truck, but only the 1995-1996 doors would be an exact match. The only difference on the 95-96 doors is that they have a line near the bottom of the door which the 94 and earlier doors didn't have. Compare your 95 door with the 86 and 88 doors that you have and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Any year 86 up will fit . You will have to swap your square vent window in and change your mirrors to your style. The line at bottom is trivial . Good luck
The older style mirriors have a smaller mounting bracket if you have the new style mirriors they started in 92.
The big ole triangle mirrior brackets with the mirror on the top had an iddy biddy bracket, but the holes in the sound barrier are cut out on the inside of the door.
I figure to switch mine out i'm giogn to have to make a custom aluminum bracket.
