92-96 F250 Sheetmetal Interchangeability With Other Years

I did not find any sticky's on 92-96 Sheet-metal Interchangeability With Other Years so that is my generic question.

More specifically I am looking to see if an 8 foot dual tank, single rear tire bed off of a 1995 F-250 2-Door Extended Cab is the same on any other year, model ford trucks than 1992-1996 ?

Ditto for the doors, front fenders, hood.

thanks in advance.

anything 92-96 for F150 F250 or F350 is the same for that 95 f150. For the doors or bed you can get it off of a 87-96 also (87-91 has the rod style instead of cable style doors which are better).

In my understanding, beds from '80 - '96 (& HD '97s) all will interchange, but there are differences. There have been some threads with details on the differences, but I don't have time to track them down right now. Some that I remember are:
  • the shape of the fender opening
  • the fuel filler doors
  • the tail lights
  • the tailgate (and how it attaches)
  • the bed rails
I think there was basically one time all of these things changed (between '86 and '87?), but it's possible that it was a little more spread out as well.

correct in 1987 they went to the different style that we have now for the beds.
Yes a 80-86 bed would fit but it would look funny because of the body lines.

92-96 F250 Front Clip Interchangeability ?

I suspect the grills and maybe bumpers are different, but does anything like the hood, fenders, that louvered piece between the hood and the windshield (IDK what its called) exchange outside of 92-96 for the F250?

Basically, does any of the front clip sheet-metal exchange outside of 92-96 F-Series trucks?, when I say exchange, I mean it looks and mounts the same, I don't want to end up with goofy looking body lines, etc.

thanks in advance.

Fenders and hood and the wiper cowl, bolt on the same, but like what was already said the body lines are different as well as the wheel openings, the front bumper, the grill, headlights are were you will have trouble bolting on. the radiator support is different and I guess technicely you can change over the radiator support as well but were do you draw the line? What is your plans for the swapping? be careful with the radiator support because there different with different engines, like a diesel one wont fit a small block gas one, and a big block is different than a small block as well, not to sure if A/C has anything to do with it as well, but I do know engine options had different rad supports.

1997 Sheetmetal Interchange On 92-96?

Does any 1997 Sheetmetal Interchange On 92-96?

I have seen some mentions that beds from 1997 work on 92-96 ...

are the body lines the same?

do they bolt up the same?

any gotcha differences?

found a local guy selling a 1997 4x4 long bed from a f-250 that looks the same as the one from my 1995 f-250 2-wheel drive.

what to make sure I am not in for a PITA on the r&r.

thanks in advance.

97 F250 and F350s have the same exact body parts and beds as your 95. However 97 F150s don't have the same body parts.

Extended Cab Corner Interchangeability

Thinking about doing a cab clip too, instead of body work on drivers side of cab behind door, below window...

In looking at how the cab is put together, it looks like the left corner and side of the cab is one spot-welded piece that over laps the door jamb, goes up to rain gutter/lip on roof and all the way down the backside of cab near rear window...

Looks the easiest way to do it is to use a spot-weld cutter and drill out the spot weld and that entire piece/cab corner including window will come off nice and neat...

Is that the case? or is there some other gotcha's in there someplace, maybe some PITA inside the cab or elsewhere?

Also, I found a 1990 2-Door Extended Cab Donor, that looks to be the same except for the double window...

Anybody know if the 1990 Extended Cab is the same as the 1995 and if I can just pop out that double window on the 1990 and use my single window off of my 1995? the cab surrounding the outside of the window frame itself visually looks the same...

So I can't just take the glass, frame & all out of the 90 cab clip and put the glass, frame and all from my 95 in?

The opening for the single window is considerably smaller than the 80-91 split window.
