Alright guys. I have finally fixed my intake problem. I bought a used 4 barrel cast Iron for $80.00. Are there different types of manifolds? The cast numbers are C6AE S 9425-G
I think that's about right Art. The savings with the performer is it's aluminum so you shed a few pounds.
FWIW has anyone been reading the net54 forum with Joe Crain posting his intake flow resuts before and after?Tunnelwedge, Victor, Blue Thunder PI, and the Edel RPM are covered. Also Jay Browns exhaust manifold/header comparo and Edel RPM vs Comp 282S cam comparo? Some pretty cool stuff going on there!! Just wondering if anyone was following them also?
I am assuming that maybe for once in my life I didnt get the shaft. The same guy with the 428 heads had the intake. I went ahead and traded the heads for the intake and the difference in cash. Just too tired of jacking around with the alluminum one wright now. The same guy had a two door falcon that I believe was about a 64. It only had a six cylinder in it but seemed to be in pretty good shape. It was a fair asking price. If it winds up being worth anything I will leave it original. If not I will go for eight cylinders under the hood. Any suggestions? I do have an Edelbrock performer rpm. Might as well get edel 428 heads and go from there. You know, build an engine an intake. Or just a moderately built 289 or 302.
