An insulated garage would be the thing to have. Even if its -10 in the garage it would be better than -10 with a 30mph wind blowing.
I'd think if you would take off too soon at -40 and hit a bump you could snap some steel. Extreme cold does weird stuff.

It cost $110 to $180 per ft to build any type of house or grage. Plus land it out ragegously expensive. For 100 gal of fuel for the house is $450. The climate
is so hard on anything out here with the glacial silt that is always present.
