starting problems with 2000 f150
The third time i kept it revved up and backed into a turn-in.
It died when I shifted into drive because the rpm's dropped.
It then would do nothing when I turned the key. It seemed that all other electrical items still worked but it didn't recognize that I was trying to engage the starter.
I wiggled the shifter and turned the wheel and it eventually started. I drove home being careful to keep the engine revved up. Next morning it does nothing again and no wiggling or wheel turning helps.
A friend said a relay went out in his ranger and did about the same thing.
What do you think?????
I had a simaler prob on my 2000 took it to the dealer they said it was the fuel makin it stall to low of octane... i was runnin regular at the time then switched to premium, when the dealer found this out they told me to run regular not premium Go figure eh ??
runnin premium helped me and when i switched back to regular i had no probs at all... so maybe it was just a bad tank of gas
