Just yesterday I got a bench seat installed in my '51 that I think is out of a conversion van, it was one of the rear seats out of a '97 Chevy, fits perfectly. All I had to do was cut the bottom off so it was flush and make some mounting brackets, I even used the original holes on the floor.

In case anyone does not know, here is what a stock bench seat looks like in our trucks. It has been recovered with some sort of vinyl is all.

I had an original bench but it sat way too high and I didn't want to hack up the frame in it. I had to kind of wedge myself in there between the seat and the steering wheel.

I'm getting ready to put a 60/40 split -bench out of a 2004 Lesabre it looks and fits pretty decent. A little hackin and wackin is all it needs to bolt it in. Drivers side is electric , center arm rest with storage inside , lumbar support, integrated seat belts and recline, in grey leather. Have to fab mounting brackets. I seen them in a 49 C***y at a car show and was really impressed.

I have the bench out of my '55 but it has to be reconditioned. You can have it if you want. I am actually going to be in Newark in a couple of weeks.

Rich,have an extra bench seat out of a '52.Have done some work on it.It just needs padding & upholstery.Obsolete & Classic Auto Parts has a interior seat cover upholstery set on sale for $145.00.Available in 5 colors.This is what I am doing to my bench seat.Denny
