not an inch. As far as i'm concerned, the only thing keeping her from coming right out is a piece of the c-clip is stlill in the groove. I would'nt drive it another 10 ft. you'll have to tear the diff apart and inspect the works as per the manual instructions. Lay out all the parts in order so that they all go back the same, especially the shims. You'll find bits and peices in there, so account for them as to the broken parts.

I doubt it unless you get em from a salvage yard! You should have someone put in a kit. It's an art and requires special tools working on diff's, I wouldn't recommend it as a diy project.
I just checked OReilly's online and it appears all they sell are kits. Something is not right in there for it to be worn that bad already so a kit might just be your best bet! How many miles you have on it?

BTW That's just bearings, seals and such, not gears. It'd be best to have it torn down first by a reputable shop to see what it needs, they may be able to get specific or seperate parts rather than a kit.

If you have an inch of in/out then you will probably find worn side gears or worse the carrier is really worn out. Also possible the axles have worn into the spider pin?
Those C-clips are only about 3/16" thick so if worn it still wouldn't be that much.

anyone got any links as to where so info or pics of the inside of the diff.? Also Does anyone know what gears these came out with, its a 3.0 . One other thing it dont have the jerk taking off till it warms up.
