E350 PSD-Tow Haul

I have a new 07 E350 with the 6.0. I plan to use it to tow my 8000+ lb. travel trailer. The truck is great however I haven't towed yet. Does anyone know why the tow-haul mode was not available with the 6.0 on the Econoline? It was available with the V-10, why not the 6.0?

Because that is how marketing thought it should be done.

Tow Haul

I guess I'm naive. I thought there may have been some mechanical reason.

Probably never figured anybody would tow anything with a van.......Like a band, or a school, or perhaps a travelling salesperson, or a delivery company, or anybody like that...........

Those people just don't DO that sort of thing
