What exactly is it? Whats the difference between it and a C6?
Did all the Broncos come with it or something? Heh, I just don't understand. How can I figure out if my Bronco has an AOD or a C6? My Bronco is an '86 w/ a 351 H.O.
Easiest way AOD will have an O around the D and then another D and a 1 so P R N OD D 1 and the C-6 will be P R N D 2 1 , this is the easiest way to tell you could also look at the VIN and decode it to see exactly what you have. Hope this helps and Good Luck,

Thanks. I think mine might be an AOD, I think I remember having two D's. I don't remember cause my truck is in the shop right now and I haven't driven it for about 2 weeks now. But whats the difference between the two. Like. Technical wise?
a o d means automatic overdrive, tranny has a lockup convertor. shifts 1-2, 2-3, 3-od. c6 shift 1-2, 2-3. some people say the c6 is a stronger tranny, some say the a o d is stronger. personally, i will take a c6 anytime.
