I had my fuel tank replaced in the galant (from junkyard) and the low fuel light would come on with about 4-5 gallons left! drove me nuts...
ran one bottle of techron, everything is back to normal...and it can only be the techron cleaning the fuel sending unit or whatever else!
new fuel filter this weekend!
Ford has a problem with 05 and up Mustangs losing the fuel level reading. They blame it on "large sulphur molecules". The cure is Techron addotive or Chevron gas.
Thanks for reminding me. I have owned several Ford Rangers, (88-90-92-94) and a 95 Mustang GT, 92 Explorer, 86 F250 4x4. On my 94 Ranger 4x4 4.0L AUTO. The "Check engine light" would come on driving down the road. This started when it was new. So I took it to my Dealer he ran codes and found nothing. The owner of the dealership told me to run a few tanks of Chevron with Techron in it. (In 1994 you couldn't buy it like you can now.) So I did, and that ended the "check engine light" from coming on. I would use Chevron about once a month and that ended the problem for as long as I owned the truck.
I bought 2 bottles tonight at my friendly WallyWorld. I poured one in each of our trucks.
wow, that was expensive! Advance Auto Parts has them buy one get one free.
My store doesn't have them labeled, but the flyer has them in there. I pointed it out to the asst mgr on duty and he says, "yeah, you're right, they should be labeled"
