Scanners/Readers

I have a AutoTap reader for my 99.5 P/S, I use the OBDII connector just above my right knee below the dash. Question is, my son-In-Law has a 97' Heavy duty with the 7.5 and his truck is not the same, I think it's a OBDI and it's somewhere under the hood. Can anyone tell me where we could buy the proper adapter to make the connection. I believe his is a round connector. We haven't looked very well, but it's under the hood somewhere. First I have to find the adapter, Appreciate any help. Joe.

'97's came with the 7.3L engine and the OBDII port is further to the right under the dash than on your truck.

Got Ya, the truck has the 7.5 460CI. We hunted everywhere on the dash, on, in, under, around, to avail, it's apsolutely not in the cap. I also told him it was in the cap, until we both searched. Got me. We did everything but a forensic examination of the interior.
