Everytime I come up beside a smart car I feel like giving it a little nudge/side swipe just to see how far it rolls over and over before it stops rolling....
Congrats on passing!!! That's such a good feeling to be done, eh?
Thanks, Yes I know espically when most of the people know you're going for it, 1A is just one of those things, if you train for it you're expected to pass quickly. And with a road test, you should know that anything could happen that could easily fail you.
Stress marks haha that sucks, what kind of day was it when you took your test? When I took mine the day was terrible, blizzarding, and slippery, the wipers couldnt even keep up to all the snow on the winshield. Damn volvos!!
It was warm and melting. I was driving Warman road in the morning prior to my test and I had a tailgater on my left rear of the trailior who was too scared to pass me. He had his wipers and washer fluid going the whole way down the road. I was just driving and laughing me butt off.
The streets were still narrow where there were parked cars and potholes started showing up, man 60th street is bad.
I was testing around 4:00 so I just got the first edge of rush hour, I was merging onto Circle west from Warman rd. and I was going to have to do a right hand turn onto Miller (that's a fun turn) anyways there is that other merge lane which had about a backup of 20-30 cars the only thing that helped me to finish that lane change is because on the bottom of there merge lane there was 2-3 feet of water, so since they had to go slow t was just another easy lane change.
I was driving a Cummings powered Petebuilt by the way. Not as nice as a Volvo that can turn on a dime.
Oh I was doing a 3 point turn by the correctional center, it melted so much the curb moved in about 6-12 inches, if I took my old tracks I woulda been to far from the curb. LOL
Sounds like they took you on a pretty well used route. Did you have to make a right turn from 33rd, over the railway tracks, to go back downtown to where you start from? And trust me snow you got to drive a much nicer truck then I did. The volvo was nice and it really turned well, way better then the 06 kenworth I drive now, but volvos are kinda junky. Did have a decent 470 horse detroit under the hood though.
Yes I made that turn. Those tracks are rough as heck this year. I think that's the only way they take you back to the SGI place, however I took Warman out of downtown, most times I think they make two right hand turns onto Idywyld.
That 33rd street is easy as long as you watch the oncoming traffic. Because you can't stop on tracks, not sure how'd they like it if you cut everyone off (the southbound Warman traffic) instead of stoppin.
Yeah I thought that turn was the trickiest turn, and it was really easy. For my highway turn I had to go out of town past sask place. That was a pain in the ***, with all the snow blowing and you couldnt see good down the highway. When I left I took the two rights to idewyld. I got the one guy that they said is the toughest guy to go with, but all in all I found him to be fairly easy. That Natalie chick you got too, is actually my womans aunt!
Wow, I heard she was a hard-A** from a guy who failed 3 times but I did really good with her. My instructor called her a turn **** but I've always been good at turning and she complimented my turns.
One stop light I was always afraid of is 27th and idywyld. Because normally we turn right from 26th then there are train tracks then a light with no park room. And if that light turned amber as you were shifting up just in front of the tracks you could not make it you would be up S*** Creek without a paddle.
