Looking at replacing my 6 Gun with the DP Tuner. I want the No Start, Stock, 60 Tow, 80 Econo and either 120 Race or 140 Extreme. Which do you guys recommend 120 Race or 140 Extreme? Or Both? When I get the DP TUner I will be replcing the VB with a BTS. Thanks guys
You can ask Jody at DP but the 140 agg. may be the same as smoke. I have the 120 and the smoke tune as my last tunes. I cant tell a difference really when I switch from the 80 econ to the 120 when I am driving down the road but u can tell that the TC locks up more in the 120. As for the 140 aggressive. If its the same as the smoke, the tune is awesome and it will put out the black stuff if you want it to. But I would still get both tunes if I had to do it over again. You will prob. run the 80 econ most of the time anyway. I guess I just would not want to run the strongest tune as soon as I went past the 80 econ.
I just installed a bts valve body and the dp tune, no start, stock, 60 tow, 80 econo and 120 race. the 60 tow is soooo smoothe when its shifting i can really feel a difference, the 80 has good pep and a little longer shift times and the 120 is just real peppy... i like the fact that i can use stock in the cold still untill it warms up then switch to whatever tune i feel, or incase I am muscled into a situation on the road to just move it .... What a nice feeling, power on the fly..... best thing i ever did. Jeff
I think I am going to get both 120 race and 140 extreme, but I am not sure. I dont want to have to send it back, but then again I dont want to blow my tranny.
do any of you guys who are running the 140 ever get the check engine light??? i was told that w/ the 140 tune sometimes the SES light comes on due to to much fuel or somthing like that??? (not an overboost code.)
I can't tell much of a difference between the 100 and the 120 setting in mine. Jody may have changed his programming since then though. But, the stock injectors can only put out so much fuel.
Sean, the code you're thinking of is the low HPOP pressure code. I think it's the P1211 code. Basically, the HPOP can't supply the pressure the injectors are needing and when it falls below a certian point, the SES light comes on. As you crank up the tune, the injectors are putting out more fuel and need more oil to push the increased fuel out. The HPOP simply can't keep up. It's not from too much fuel, but too little high pressure oil.

I have Stock, 60tow, 80econo, 120 race. i leave it on 80 most of the time. I cant feel much diff on the fly between 80 and 120 but from a stop, 120 and the smoke plumes rule. Even with the added HP of the 80 and the fact that i cant keep my foot out of it sometimes, I still am getting better MPG than stock. I wish I had the Valet and no start but oh well. I get 1250 EGTs on the 80 and 120 sometimes. other that that, no worries on the DP. Its a great investment and is so easy to install
I get the engine light with the 80econo tune after getting on it pretty hard a couple of times. Light comes on at about 24-35psi boost so I'm thinkin is the HPOP having a hard time keeping up or boost too high over stock "parameters".
