rear diff cover - repaint, or PML ?

I'm going to do the fluid change / maint on my front and rear diffs. I'm debating on which way to go. I know the PML covers help dissipate heat better, and add about a quart of oil. But what bout just sandblasting the diff cover while it's off .. and painting it with a high heat paint .. I was thinking to even match the body color of my truck.

I do tow a lot, not a heavy load (3500 lbs) but 2-3 times a week. What are y'all's thoughts ?

IMHO...go with the PML or Mag-Hytec covers. Noticed in your sig that you are running 35" tires with a 4" lift...so that plays a part in my recommendation.

Heck even the new '08 SD has a finned diff cover out back. Can only help in your situation.

Good luck,
biz

The finned aluminum covers will better dissapate heat vs. a painted stock cover.

We sell the PML covers.
