Headers...

Ok, so i have a 5.0 HO with GT40-p heads, its going in a 1989 4x4 bronco. I know i me and others have discussed headers for the p heads on here before but i am a little confused. Ok, so i know that nobody makes a header specifically for an engine w/ p-heads in a bronco, so bronco shorties are probably out of the question, correct? If so, could anybody give me recommendations on some good long tubes? also when i was looking on jegs just a little bit ago, i noticed some shorties made by FRPP that fit the 96-98 5.0 explorer, does anybody know anything about these?

there are headers that will work. i believe they are stock gt headers from a mustang. but dont quote me on that. i see them on corral and stangnet once in awhile along with ebay to.

Stock gt headers are the ones that come on those HO's stock right? If that is the case, i have those already, but by the looks of them i doubt if they would flow too well.

ive heard you can run shorter plugs as well but that still seems like a pain to work on. are you set on using the P heads?

Yea pretty much, where i am at right now is i have two sets of E7's and a set of P's all that need work. I picked up the P heads from a wrecking yard for $250 and im trying to unload them right now so i can buy these: http://www.tristatecylinderhead.com/...products_id=40.

i know these things seem like they are gonna be a real pain, but i want some performance and 351 is really not an option right now

Might be easier to port the exhaust side of those e7's

sell the P's on ebay i see used untouched ones for $400 easy. then dump that money into the e7's or save a bit longer for some regular gt40 heads. the cost of P headers kinda makes it not worth it in my mind. RHS has some great cast heads for good prices as well. and would flow better then the P's.

Well from my understanding the headers arent going to cost me much its just that i might have to fix em to make them fit the plugs. Well if i dont use the P's, what heads do you think would flow the best, keeping in mind that i dont have money to go buy aluminium,

either some World product JR/SR cast heads, some lightning gt40's or these are gaining popularity.

I couldnt get the link to work, but im guessing those lighting gt40's are just heads that came off of the lightning, how hard are those to get ahold of and how do they compare to the ones i planned to use? Also i like the look of those World cast heads, how do they flow? I guess they are about $300 more than i planned on spending if you dont include whatever it takes to ship them, but if they fow better and it might be worth it so i dont have to worry about butchering my headers.
