i never got a recall notice i didnt hear about it till after the fire the fire men said that it started around the master cylinder in the wire harness i cut my fingers bad trying to move the truck from the side of my home but thats about it do you think the head will be ok on the motor? the intake melted some

Too bad about the truck, looked at the pics like an hour ago and couldn't stop thinkin about how much it bugged me. I hate it when I see our model truck get thrashed/ruined. I'm glad I had that recall taken care of a couple months ago. Good luck with the rebuild, be sure to keep us posted on the progress.

thats a shame, it really sucks seeing these trucks in that kind of shape. i agree with what the other fellows are talking about, get a hold of ford and see what they have to say.
i had my 96 f150 in the shop last year for some body work, the guy told me they had fixed a recall, i didnt even know about the cruise control recall. i figured since i was the trucks second owner they wouldnt have been able to track me down.
just be thankful your truck wasn't in the garage or real close to your house when it went up in flames.
