Is there an easy way to figure out how much lift I have? I purchased my 90 Bronco XLT about a month ago, and it has a lift kit, but I'm not too sure exactly how high it is. What lift would I need to run 35" tires? I've got 31x10.5's at the moment, with plenty of clearance.
Generally speaking you need a 6 inch suspension lift to run 35 inch tires pretty easy. I have heard of some guys around here running a 4 inch suspension lift and 35s. I believe they had to shim out their front bumper an inch or so.
I'm running 32" Tires on a standard stock suspension (Rancho 9000 shocks though. About 2 years old when I bought the truck). I get a little fender rubbing when I turn right REAL hard but thats it. I'm betting you could squeeze 35" with a 2" or so lift
I have 33" on my standard stock suspension. Rubs a little when I go far right or left, but only barely. I'm sure you could get away with 35" on a 4" lift. May have to grind on the bumper a little like Matt above said though.
I didn't have to shim out my bumper to put 35s on with my 4" lift. I just took a sawzall and cut a little bit off the end of the bumper on each side! Worked great!
