Hey y'all - moved over here from a V10 Excursion - my wallet is so much happier after fueling, but....
I take it leaky tanks are common on these older trucks and I just need a new tank? If so, that's probably a good time for a new pump (or two) - any recommended sources?
Welcome .I never replace pumps unless making noise. Course I swap tanks all time for my friends and neighbors. So I'm fast at it. I got 2 new Factory pumps off eBay cheap for future reference just last month.. But you can get them about any where. Check some of are sponsors they have good selection. Good luck
Where exactly on the tank do you usually find a leak? I just bought an '88 150 with the 302 and I am hoping there may be a fuel leak since my first gas mileage calculation was less than satisfactory. Thanks.
if it was leaking you would smell it and see it on the ground. mine on my 94 was recently replaced and last night when it was being filled by an attendant, he overfilled it running it very fast and then it poured out of top. that's why i normally fill my own. i'm having it rechecked very soon.
