More Power

At the end of the day, I can honestly say I will have this truck for atleast another 10 years running in mint condition. I am 18 now, so I think atleast I could have this around even if I do get another car from now. After I get my headers put in, and possibly the cam and lifters ect..I was thinking supercharger. Over a few years I could prob of saved up enought to buy it and any parts needed to get it in (what exactly do I need to modify to get the supercharger)? WHat do you think, I am not really into that stroker stuff, but if its the cheaper more affective way, then why not.. Thank you any input would be apreciated

Head for the FTE 'Computer Chip' forum.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum46/

FTE also has a forum for supercharger discussion

it depends on the type of supercharger youre wanting to run and how much boost. if youre looking at the big roots type then youll be changing heads, intake, forged pistons, rods, possibly going to a forged crank, definitely big cam... basically replacing everything but the bare block. if youre looking at like a vortec supercharger then youll just need the supercharger, some bigger injectors, reprogram the computer to retard the timing when on boost, and depending on boost pressure possibly swap the pistons for lower compression ones and possibly upgrading connecting rods... but as with any forced induction it will cut down the life of your engine... which is why id go with a 521 or 545 stroker... theyre much more simple and dont add any parts to go out, they just upgrade parts that are already there.

The Vortech that Darrin mentions comes with the supporting mods. i.e. ignition box with boost/timing retard and fuel mods.
