C4 help
sorry not truck related, all mine are sticks, but I have a 66 mustang 289/c4..last night the starter(fairly new) jammed, I removed it, didn't see anything unusual, removed the inspection plate and found four roller bearing approx .475long by .250 dia and four weard flat looking springs laying in the bottom of the bell housing??? reinstalled the starter, fired it up and drove it 15 miles home...I have never seen parts like this in all my years working on Fords, but this is the only Auto trans car I have ever owned..anyone have a sugestion? thanks in advance

thanks anyways, but I found out where they came from, when the old started went out my son changed it for me, I never saw the old one..I just took apart and old starter drive I had and found the springs and rollers in there..had never taken one apart before, my fears of it being from the trans or converter are over
