I have been looking at a home filling station on natural gas. the cost of ng fuel has not moved in months..unlike all the other fuels ,the high pressure tanks and limited range is not a problem in town..
I have run a couple of FEs on propane / dual fuel with no problems. Didn't notice much of a power loss towing the fifth wheel and it was sweet changing the oil that still looked like you just put it in. No deposits in the oil from propane. Switching from propane to gas was a breeze rolling down the road.
I took it off of my 65 because she is not driven much these days and it cleaned everything up for show.
I'm looking to go propane on my 428 with stainless cj valves and hardened exhaust seats. Ive got everything. I'm looking to use a impco 425 mixer. I'm new to this stuff but I really like the idea
propane for me has been great ,I am trying to hot rod my system right now with duel mixer's and see how that works ..I have a 79 Bronco with a 428 and with just the single 425 impco mixer I have cooked my Posi ..again..
Just got off the phone with a buddy and he seems to think duel mixers might be better for my 428.
You still get lots of power then hey? I keep hearing good things.
Man, I wish dad hadn't taken the LP fuel system off his truck. I need to find out if he still has the important stuff. I'd like to put it back on......
