im replacing my cam in my 78 f150 300 i6 was wondering how to re install rocker arms need help how do you set them are they like my 87 302 i rebuilt just tourque them down or do they need to be adjusted and how pls help

Don't just bottom out the nuts, for this vintage the valves should be set by the "zero lash" method. Adjust each set of valves by firing order with the piston at TDC. Tighten the nut just till the pushrods are snug and can no longer be easily rotated by hand, then tighten another 1/4 to 1/2 turn. This usually works fine, but occasionally you'll have a nut bottom on the stud before getting the valve tight enough. Since you're using new lifters it should be fairly easy.
