I bought this early 99 F250 PSD about a month ago. After doing the basic maintenance on it, I'm moving on to mods.
After reading about the muffler delete option last nite, I decided to have that done today. I went outside and looked under the truck to see how big of a job it was going to be and there is no muffler?
I can see where the 3 inch pipe goes up the back of the engine block to where the turbo is. From there to the tailpip exhaust it basically just a 3 inch pipe. There is this one section about mid-cab, where there is a big clamp on the muffler pipe and the pipe there bulges to about 3.2 inches for a while, then at the next weld it goes back to the normal 3 inch pipe.
Am I to believe that I am so lucky today that a previous owner deleted the muffler? Or did the 99 not come with a muffler or catalitic?
I bought my truck the same way, but not I have a 4" so it didnt' really matter, but like they said. it will be the cheapest mod you get to spend money on. lol Have fun
Awesome! Totally awesome. One less thing to do! I got my glowshift gauges in yesterday and am going to install them on Thursday. Think I will do the CCV mod at the same time.
