Shift kit experiences / recommendations for E4OD
I've been doing some searches on this and would like to know currently who has used what, and the likes / dislikes of what has been used.
I'm planning on changing the fluid in the tranny and figured that it would be a good time to add an additional trans cooler and shift kit to 'clean up the slop' so to speak.
Any info on your experiences would be great!

i put a stge 2 shift kit in my 80 trans am with beefed 350 and loved it quick solid shift each gear tires chirp each shift best inprovement i could make for $50 .but if you you plan to tow go with stage 1

Transgo make a number of Kits depending on what you want to fix. They have a pretty good website. There is a good thread in the 6.9/ 7.3 section on the B&M Shift Improver. Lots of people are happy with that. It is around $50 and very easy to install.
If you pull the valve body, take care with the check *****. There are lots of them and lots of combinations depending on year of trans. It appears that in 89/90 you could have anywhere from 9 to 12. If they go bouncing on the floor, good luck. Don
