I have an '04 with a superchips. I love it. I am ready to take my truck in for a coolant leak. The leak is located in the right rear cylinder head and ONLY OCCURS WHEN IT GETS VERY COLD (40 degrees and below) The amount lost is minute. What would happen if the dealer reflashes my truck even if I tell them not to?
Which Superchip tuner do you have. The 1704 or the Flashpaq? Next if its the 1704 you'll need the receipt to send it back to Superchips to get reprogrammed. If you don't have the receipt I think it costs $100. If you have the flashpaq up grades are available on the internet.
Make sure to set your truck to stock before taking it to the dealer.
This info is assuming you have the 6.0l diesel of course.
I have the 1704. Nothing is wrong @ the time. I am going to return the truck to stock, then take it in. I was just wondering what would happen if these knuckleheads reflashed it even after telling them not too.
If they upload a newer calibration, you can send the programmer back to superchips for an update. However, depending on how long you have had the tuner, the tuner may already have the calibration ford will upload.
