Need help with intake tube

I have a 94 F150 4x4 302/m.t. Anywayz...my intake tube is the 2 into one, the 2 being on the throttle body and the 1 on the airbox. I just did a motor swap and there is a fitting on the bottom and i think this hooks up to the valve cover (d'vers side) oil filling spout with some sort of tube?, Am i right and if not what goes there? I do not have a hose for this and where could i get one? Thanx.

Yeah you're right, thats the breather hose that shoots crankcase pressure in there if there is a fail anywhere. You could just get a breather filter that fits over the nipple there, or just any high temp hose that fits over both ends.

If the truck is mass air (has the meter at the air filter side of that singe tube), you need to attach that to the valve cover so that any air that is sucked through the PCV system gets metered by the mass air meter. Otherwise it will act like a vacuum leak and cause it to run incorrectly.

It is mass air? Are you sure? The reason I ask is because only california emissions equipped trucks had MAF in 94 (that I am aware of)...esp so with a manual transmission.

So you have a sensor with a plug mounted inbetween the airbox and the throttle body?

On the MAF trucks, that breather tube goes from that valvecover (oil filler neck) to the intake track ahead of the MAF sensor (between the throttle body and MAF). It should be attached to a port on a 2 into 1 plastic piece. On MAF trucks, the air intake is 1 tube...then splits into 2 for the dual throttle body.

If it's speed density, it will not have any sensor in the air intake track (the plastic tubing between the airbox and the throttle body) and that breather tube will go to a small filter inside the back of the airbox.

My 94 has MAF 302 and the oilfiller bung hose attaches to bung around where single tube splits. Just use heater hose or go to ford . I don't think you will find in wreckers. . I know I cleaned all locals out when I pieced 3 sets together. Thank GOD for eBay. There are several 94 F150 that know of that have MAF in PA, NEW YORK MARYLAND (where mine came from ) area. Need anytinhg just post or mail me.
