Question from this though...

Is that a 2valve or 3 valve V10?

That would be a 2-valve. With an EGR, no less!

The black plastic valve covers give it away. The 3-valve uses an aluminum cover.

I didn't know that, krewat. I knew about the EGR valve, but not the plastic vs. aluminum valve covers.

Probably for clearance of 5 extra valves under there

Good point!

Now that would explain a dimensional change, but what about the change in material from plastic to aluminum?
