tach wiring Question
Ok this should be easy. I have a 66 custom cab, with the 4 guages and sweep spedo. I am going to hook up my tack this week. I know what the 4 tach wires go to. This is my question though. Can anyone tell me what two color wires to look for? one is for the light. The other is for the hot.(the actual color of the trucks wiring) I know what they are on the tach and I am wondering for the truck. Thanks

12g Black/Green Stripe = Accessory Circuit - same wire that goes to the constant voltage regulator on the back of the instrument cluster. You'll also see it running to all the individual gauges. Tap into it before the constant voltage regulator or run a new wire from the stud on the back of the ignition switch.
