Engine/Trans Swap Question
My uncle has a 91 F-350 with the 7.3L deisel and an automatic. He was wondering if he could swap in a 351 with an auto tranny from a 87 F-350.
Do they have the same engine mounts?
Anything else that might hold him up?

If you have parts truck
1. to check wire differences etc.
2.motor ,trans, mounts ,and whatever else.
The mounts may be different but you can change them. Other than figuring out wiring/changes . The worst thing will be the tanks and lines. My dad did the same thing as you . we removed and rinsed the tank/lines 4-5 times and still had problem with gunk in tank and lines plugging filters. . If you swap tanks and lines you will have alot less hassle . Good luck
