Another engine swap
Hey there. Been having problems with my '92 F350 7.3 IDI lately. Really under powered and a bad knocking on the passenger side. I found a guy with a '90 7.3 with 163k on it instead of the 230k on mine. Any suggestions or pointers for the swap? He only wants $500 for the engine and I know it would be a lot more than that to rebuild mine.

I bought a parts truck with a bad trans, good engine. Pulling the engine from it took 2-3 hrs. I removed the hood and rad, all the belt driven accesories and lifted it over the core support. Gotta remove the starter and oil filter. I left the ac and ps lines connected and just moved the pump and compressor out of the way.
