A little help with my Bronco...

Hello, I have a 1988 Bronco, with a 302 motor and an Automatic Transmission. For some reason, the Automatic Overdrive will not shift out of low gear. Does anyone know why this would happen? Thanks in advance.

A little help with my Bronco...

Are you having the same problem that I am having? In my 95' XLT 4x4 5.0 with AOD and whenever I get the RPM's over 3500 and the engine will seem like it jumps the RPM's up to near max until I lay off of the gas a bit then it catches and gives a little kick. The tranny works in all gears, the AOD works fine if i kick it in before 3500 RPM. I was told it might be a fuel filter problem. After I replaced the fuel filter the truck now waits to about 3800 RPMs to do the same thing. When the RPM's kick up I dont get the increased acceralation but the car will maintain its moderate accelaration. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help.

TN boy sounds like the tourqe converter to me but take your trucks to a tranny shop to make sure before you pull the tranny
