saying hello
as you all know i've been in and out of the costly hotel a lot with the last trip just this past 21st, for more spine surgery. only thing left is the needed new knees, that will be when i can't walk or shift a stick not before.
every thing now seems to be under control. the cancer is licked. my bad mind problems from it all under control so i'm hopeing to return to posting and leting people pick my brains for what i learned as a mechanic for those 42 plus years,
mustang up date, jba true duals, jba headers, procharger and a 50 shot to help the little v6 run with the big boys. dyno pulls showed almost 400 on the ground,
it's a nice ride but not my old 05 v10 sd. i sure do miss the smothness of that big beast motor.

Congrats on beating that sumbee-atch: cancer! WOO-HOO! It's nice to see you posting again.
one thing i will say.www.newtakeoff.com is great. tires, rims, rear end complete. gt bumpers, grille and trim.you can't beat the prices or service.
thanks ken.
that took a lot out of my head for some time. i think you all saw how it was taking me apart. the cadaver bone they used to replace what had the bad stuff worked out great, i only have a mild limp but still can drive a stick shift .
to all of you v10 men
i had a lot of phone calls and emails from the v10 men giveing their prayers. thanks again guys they all helped and i'm thankfull for every one of them.and for knowing you all.
Glad to hear you've beat this latest round. Gettin old and/or sick is a beech. As my old pappy sez "It ain't for wimps", and I'm starting to see what he ment. God Speed.
Looking forward to your pontifications and wealth of knowledge back here in V-10 land.
I cut my 6.8L teeth here with you, Fred, Ken, Art, and Don, amongest many, many others, and I learned a lot.
Art's doing a good job, Ken's back, Fred's around, but Don kinda signed off.
The new blood's great, but the "old" is tough to replace. Again, welcom back!
Rob
as i said i had many emails of prayer and several phone calls. our webmaster, bigf350, wrench. and few other offering prayers. but boy i can say some of you guys must have some big pull with the big guy up stairs as those prayers worked big time.
old blood maybe. but don't shoot down the new their more up on the computer end of these new cars and trucks then us old timers. rememember this v10 is no flathead by any means even though back in those days they did have v10 and v12 flatly's infact way back they even had alloy motors that many new guys never knew about. yes i will date myself and be darn proud of being able to that. i'm 60 and sure don't want to take whats in my head with me. it's all muscle car and truck that is slowly getting lost. items like a fomoco 2 speed trans yes guys we did have a 2 speed automatic way back then when i was a young jerkie kid.
i'll be in and out of here as level10 keeps me hoping

Welcome back and good luck with the recovery. 400 horsepower out of a v-6 mustang!! Dang that v-6 has some ***** (its a ford, Is it part of the mod family?) My buddy has a 2001 black gt with the 4.6L v-8 with an exhaust and a chip and i think that things fast. I only wonder how fast your lighter v-6 is?
I bet you wish you could drop in a 3v v-10 in your mustang
, it would be an awesome project. A guy on ebay was selling a couple 1998 Mustangs with i think 2001 2v v-10s in them. And yes they were supercharged! Good luck getting well and you need to post up some new updated pics of your ride!Matt
but from ford news floating around this may be it's last year as the rumor mill states the new edge's v6 will replace the 4.0 it's a pressure cast alloy 3.5L dohc 24 valve v6 which has 40 more hp which is 250 base ver 210 base of the 4.0L.
we have this little beast pushed hard esp with the nox kick but man does the procharger kit work as stated 100% increase ,
but to be frank i miss my big v10's smooth power band.
