When the temperature changes a lot during damp weather creating foggy conditions. Engine misses badly and I get a diagnostic code which states No. 5 cylinder miss. This has occurred several times. I had the spark plugs changed but the condition has occurred again. After the engine has warmed and the car has left to sit awhile the problem will go away. Any ideas
That news is discouraging. Since the problem only occurs spradically it might take some time to resolve. I have sprayed all the wires with a silicon spray and it has reduced the occurence to only once since. I was going to try and concentrate the spray to only the No. 5 cylinder. I will let you know if I get it solved.
I hope someone out there has had the same problem and can give us more insight.
