help getting wheels off
help getting wheels off
cant get the front wheels off late model lightning. ive done everything i can think of to get the front wheels off pried kicked rubber mallot sprayed with penetrant let sit even loosened the lugs an put it on the ground and turned the wheels side to side .about the only thing i havnt tried is putting the lugs on and driving in circles ive seen what happens when they break loose that way not a pretty sight for the wheel any good ideas the wheels have never been off the vehicle before . and yes even shouted obsentities
we normally just get them jacked up safe leave one lug on then take a 8 pounder and let loose from under at the tire.
when you do get it off clean all the gum and gunk off the hub and apply never seize around the hub before puting it back on to help you out the next time.
best if you do all 4 at the same time as we always find more then one frozen on at the same time.

some times i think i'd almost die they corroid on so tightly from road salt and grim around us and it will take a big gmc/dodge tool to make them budge off. by that i do mean a 8 pound mall or sledge.
please make sure it's on jack stands and safly sitting. ggod luck man
