E4OD Servo Cover
I have a E4OD apart that does not have a servo cover or snap ring in it. This is in a 89 E350 with a 7.3. The trans has been overhauled twice that I know of. The last time was nine years ago, so I know the trans works with out it. This truck is used strictly for towing on flat roads, so it is possible it has never been in 2cd. (gear shift) The band is perfect. I believe the servo and band only come into play in manual 2cd. Do I need to find one? Did it have one from factory? In these early E4OD's there were lots of changes but I looked in 2 different manuals, both show it and there is a groove to install the cover snapring. The check ***** do not match anything in the manual either. Anyone ran into this? Thanks Don
